About Averra Initiatives CIC
Empowering Adults to Live Independent, Fulfilling Lives
At Averra Initiatives CIC, we believe that every young adult and adult deserves the opportunity to live an independent, fulfilling, and meaningful life, regardless of disability, mental health challenges, or personal circumstances.
Based in the Borough of Bury, Greater Manchester, we are a community-focused Community Interest Company dedicated to supporting individuals aged 18–65. With over 20 years of combined experience across health and social care, our team brings extensive knowledge and hands-on expertise from nursing, residential care, supported living, and community support environments.
Our philosophy is built around person-centred support, dignity, respect, choice, and self-determination. We recognise that every individual has unique strengths, abilities, and aspirations. Rather than focusing on perceived limitations, we empower people to develop practical life skills, build lasting confidence, make informed choices, and take greater control of their everyday routines.
Whether someone is transitioning into adulthood, learning to live independently, managing mental health challenges, or seeking greater community involvement, we provide the encouragement and practical support they need to thrive. We work hand-in-hand with families, carers, guardians, and local professionals to promote continuity of care, positive personal outcomes, and complete peace of mind.
