Averra Choices Hub is a vibrant community-focused space designed to inspire and support individuals, including adults with mental health and additional needs. At the Hub, we are committed to helping people build confidence, enhance their independence, and develop valuable life skills. We feature excellent facilities, including a dedicated computer room for IT skills training and a pool table for social interaction.

Our goal is to provide a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where people can grow personally and professionally. Whether you’re looking to gain practical skills, connect with others, or simply enjoy fun activities, the Averra Choices Hub offers a range of opportunities to enrich your life.

Activities & Sessions:

We believe in hands-on experiences that promote personal growth, teamwork, and essential life skills. Our diverse range of activities and workshops at the Hub cater to both professional development and leisure, ensuring a balanced approach to well-being.

Our Primary Services Include:

Confidence Building:

Workshops designed to help individuals improve self-esteem, enhance social skills, and overcome personal challenges.

Promoting Independence:

Programs that support independent living, providing tools to manage daily tasks and make informed decisions.

Journey to Employment Skills:

Workshops to enhance employability, including resume building, interview techniques, and job readiness skills.

IT Skills & Computer Room:

Develop essential digital literacy in our dedicated computer room. We offer workshops tailored to upskilling, resume building, online safety, and using technology to promote greater independence.

Leisure and Recreation:

Fun and inclusive activities such as bingo, bowling, and outdoor activities, centred around our fantastic pool table. These sessions are perfect for community bonding and relaxation.

Creative and Skill-Based Activities

Arts & Crafts:

Explore your creative side with hands-on crafting projects that encourage self-expression and creativity.

Canvas Art:

Participants can learn the basics of painting and create their own masterpieces on canvas.

Enterprise:

Learn valuable entrepreneurial skills, from idea generation to product creation and sales.

Gardening:

Make use of our on-site garden and allotment to learn about horticulture, sustainability, and the joy of growing your own plants and produce.

Health & Wellbeing

Life Skills:

Essential skills for independent living, such as home and community safety, healthy eating, emotional well-being, and housekeeping.

Health & Wellbeing Workshops:

Sessions that focus on mental and physical health, covering everything from nutrition to coping strategies.

Yoga:

Weekly Coffee Morning

As part of our commitment to empowering participants, we hold a weekly coffee morning every Friday at St Bernadette’s Community Centre. This is a fantastic social gathering that helps participants develop confidence, communication, and interpersonal skills in a real-world community setting. Your presence helps build their confidence and promotes growth in a welcoming environment.
